McKinney, and Collin County, is the home to a large number of nonprofit ministries whose charge is to help the less fortunate in our community…the voiceless, the homeless, the orphan, the widow, the poor, the hungry. It was just a few short years ago, in 2014, that Money Magazine rated McKinney as the no. 1 place to live in the U.S. I would absolutely agree, but not just because of economic prosperity so many share in our community. Instead, I think it is the large number of people in our community who, through their very real and active Christian faith, devote their gifts and energy towards serving others; committed service, with excellence. This, I think, is what makes our community so exceptional.
So, thanks to all in our community who are on the front lines in serving, caring for, and protecting those who so need a hand; who so need a voice.
“Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.” Psalm 82:3
Thank you, McKinney, for doing this well.
