Scott has practiced law in Texas for over thirty years.  Graduating from St. Mary's School of Law, Scott first went to work for the Third District Court of Appeals in Austin, then worked for a year at a small litigation firm in Boerne, Texas.   In 1988 Scott had the opportunity to return to Dallas, working at the Dallas firm of Touchstone, Bernays, Johnston, Beall, and Smith.  Scott worked for Touchstone for fifteen years (nine as a partner), trying lawsuits involving personal injury, wrongful death, and property loss.  

Scott opened his solo practice in McKinney in 2003, and since then has been able to combine professional excellence with a personal touch for his clients.  Focusing on personal injury, nonprofit governance, and civil litigation, Scott is able to bring his expertise to bear in the most complex cases.  Scott has lived in McKinney since 2000.  Father to six children, he is married to the former Lori Williams of Albany, Texas.  Scott serves as a deacon at First McKinney Baptist Church and has previously served on the board for Hope Women's Center and Direction61:3.
